Hi there, I've added a few pics of around the farm and I will add some more later when my dialup is a bit faster. I have a question for all you bloggers, how do make it show up on your blog who you are following? I'd like to add all you wonderful people on my blog but I'm blonde and can't figure it out, lol
Cheers, ~Trish~

Hi Trish...great pics. I have always liked ducks and seeing yours made my day! your house is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTo show who's following you...first go to your dashboard. Then click on "design" which should be under your Blog name with "edit posts" "settings" and that stuff. Next, click on "add a gadget" in the place you want your followers to show up on your blog. You will see a list of gadgets...click on the one that says "Followers" . and that should do it. I hope that helps. I'm not a blogging genius at all ;) but that's how I did it. So hopefully it will work for you as well. Take care...Lori
Thank you Lori!! Your advice sure helped!! I finally got it, lol... took me long enough:) I love my ducks, they have so much character even though they are messy! And thanks for commenting on my house, the outside looks much better than the inside! I find it so hard to create a prim home with 5 kids in the house. The kids rooms are so different than the rest of the house, bright greens and purples for the girls rooms and a NASCAR theme room for the boys room... thank goodness I can close their doors to prevent a "clash" of decor, lol. Hope you are having a great week and I look forward to seeing some cheesecloth curtains from you in the near future :)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that it worked for you, Trish! I still have a long way to go in my own house to bring it up to my "prim expectations". My Hunny is not exactly a fan of the style. He does like some of it...but I can't go as far with it as I'd like. I DO plan on making some cheesecloth curtains in the not so distant future. I think they will go in my spare bedroom. I would LOVE to have them in my kitchen as well. Hmmmm...I wonder if he'd notice!! ;) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, my hubby was the same way... I have slowly won him over in the past years, lol. I think he now knows that if I'm happy, he's happy and he gives in :) When we first moved in here and started redoing part of the house, my hubby and his dad got rid of alot of antique stuff against my will( sigh), they burnt a really nice old dresser that i could have refinished and tossed alot of stuff out. My husband now regrets it, these things were his family history and I'm kicking his butt for it! So now, when I see things that bring back the "earlier simpler days" and we can afford it, he gives in. I bet your husband won't notice if you made cheescloth curtains and put them in the kitchen... I just bought 15 meters more to do the rest of my kitchen windows and mine didn't say a word :D Actually, I found that the curtains blocked alot of the heat from the sun but still let lots of light in, I used to put towels in the windows to block the sun out! Oh well, guess what I'll be doing this week... staining 15 meters of cheese cloth :) Hope you are having a great weekend too!
ReplyDeleteHey Trish. Yeah, Hunny is kind of, sort of, maybe, coming around to the prim style very slowly. I guess the weekly beatings are starting to work ;) lol (just kidding). He does like antiques...he just likes for them to be in really good condition. Now myself, the more dents and dings a piece has the better I like it. So we really clash when it comes to finishing a piece or hunting for what we each determine to be "treasures". It's great that the cheesecloth curtains block out the heat! We have had some pretty hot days here as well. Do you plan to keep them up during the winter?
ReplyDeleteLori
Hey Lori,
ReplyDeleteYes, I plan to keep the cheese cloth curtains up during the winter! Since I have them hung between my toppers and panels, I think they look much cozier and far better than mini blinds :) I like my antiques beat up looking too, lol, it gives you the sense that they were well used etc.
