Good evening my wonderful followers! It's been awhile. I had almost given up on being able to follow anyone, my computer was getting so bad I couldn't get on to anyone's blog and it was taking me forever to make a post here. We finally splurged a little...okay, alot! We were finally able to afford wifi, and actually have a network that we can get a signal from. I can tell you, since having it hooked up on Thursday, I cannot honestly figure out how we ever lived with dialup :P I am loving it and cannot believe just how fast it is! So after spending the money on the wifi, we found out that our old ancient laptop was not compatible with it...yes it was that old, lol, so last night, we went to Future shop and found an awesome laptop that is perfect. Again, I am loving it, I can see pictures on blogs and am once again able to enjoy reading everything. We are enjoying it so much that my hubby decided to go and buy himself a laptop so he can play poker on it and know that I won't be hogging the computer, lol . And best of all, I can go online and not have to worry about tying up the phone line during the day, because the schools are always trying to call me for one reason or another. So you should see me on here alot more and be able to comment on your blogs! I just have to learn how to post pics with this new computer and than I am set :) The past few days we have been having bad weather. Friday we had freezing rain so bad, I kept my kids home from school. We couldn't even drive down our driveway it was so icy and we would have ended up in our neighbors yard if we had tried and she would not have been happy about that. Even my hubby stayed home from work and he is used to driving in the worst of weather, but he was not taking any chances. Thankfully his boss was understanding. It did snow after the freezing rain and made it a little easier to drive. Today, we were not expecting to get snow until late this afternoon, but it hit this morning, tons of it, and very heavy snow... I guess winter is here...and tomorrow we get another round of it, yuck. Hopefully it won't be too bad as we have groceries to buy and odds and ends and I really don't want to be out in it.
I have been to a few auctions in the past few weeks, picking up some enamelware and other goodies. You know its bad when every Friday rolls around and your kids ask you of you are going to the auction that night, lol. I can't resist but hubby rolls his eyes! There is another one tomorrow but I don't think they will let me go :(
Well, I just wanted to pop by and let you all know I am still alive and will be around here much more now :)
Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend and stay safe!
Hugs, Trish

Happy New Year and freezing weather!
Welcome 2012! Where has this past year gone? It slipped by ever so quickly....
We stayed home for New Years Eve, enjoyed having the kids home (well 3 of them were home) and managed to stay awake til midnight! Well, I actually got my second wind and didn't get to bd til after 2 A.M. New Years Day we visited the inlaws and surprised the kids by leaving them with grandma and grandpa for a few days :) They have been good and it's been extra quiet around here, but I am sure grandma is happy that they took their nintendo ds's to keep them occupied, lol. monday morning, james and I got to sleep in! haven't done that in a long time...even the dogs didn't need let out extra early. We headed out to do some shopping and grab some lunch. it was rather nice not having anyone ask if we could get this or that, or hearing bickering as we drove :) James went back to work today as did Alexis, she's getting lots of extra hours in. this mornig was bitterly cold....-29 with the wind! I froze driving her to work! I had alot of outdoor chores to do so Noah helped me with them, thank goodness, as I am feeling slightly sick with a cold and have almost lost all of my voice. We were bundled up so tightly ut we still felt the cold. Oh wel, the wood was brought in, the outdoor animals fed and watered and the chickens have a nice warm bedding of hay in the coop to keep them toasty, although they were not too happy when we were putting it in...gosh, with all the squaking and feathers flying, you would have thought they were being killed, lol. They were so mad, they refused to give me any eggs today :P tomorrow it is suppose to get up to zero, we will see! Wishing I was down in Florida with my mom right now, she safely arrived there yesterday! I could some of that heat:)
Well, I am off to curl up under the warm blankets, and cozy flannel sheets my mom gave us. Trying to rest up and be ready for the 3 kiddos to get home tomorrow night. I miss them :)
stay warm everyone and have a great night!
hugs, Trish
